Jo was born into a motor racing family with both her parents taking part in circuit racing, hill climbs and rallies!

In 1972, Jo enrolled at the Jim Russell Motor Racing School at Mallory Park and she has been racing ever since!

Jo has mainly been involved in hill climb and sprinting with the odd rally.  In 1987, Jo started racing with a Lotus Elan, a car she continued to compete in until 2000.

In 2001, she started competing in a lightweight 26R replica, a car which she is still using today.

Over the years, Jo has amassed some 56 Class Wins, 61 second in Class, numerous Ladies Awards and the BWRDC Hillclimb Championship 8 times.
