ALICE POWELL

Alice started karting in 2001 when she was Reading Trail Park Cadet Club Class Champion.

alice-powell-lrgIn 2002 she competed in the Camberley Kart Club Cadet Championship and the Buckmore Park Club Cadet Championship, moving into Stars of Tomorrow and MSA Super 1 British Cadet Karting Championship in 2003.

Between 2003 and 2006, Alice continued in these karting championships. In 2006, Alice won the BRDC Stars of Tomorrow Outstanding Driver Award, came 4th in the Stars of Tomorrow JICA Karting Championship and 10th in the MSA Super 1 British Formula JICA Karting Championship.

Alice moved to racing cars in 2007 when she competed in the Ginetta Junior championship.  She came 5th in the championship in her first year and 9th overall in her second year, achieving four podiums during 2008.

In 2009, Alice competed in the Formula Renault UK championship.  She finished 18th overall and 6th in the Graduate Cup, as well as receiving two 'Driver of the Day' awards.

In 2010, Alice won the BARC Formula Renault Championship, being the first female ever to do so. She also had a part season in the Ginetta G50 Championship.

In 2011, Alice entered the Formula Renault UK Championship, finishing 4th in the Graduate class and 9th overall.· This included 4 Graduate pole positions and one front row start.
