Louise started karting in 2004 when she entered the national Little Green Man (Cadet) Championship. She was awarded the WTP Cadet Challenge Trophy for most improved driver and was tipped as 'one to watch'.

In 2008, Louise finished 3rd overall in the British Super 1 National Championship and 8th overall in the Stars of Tomorrow.

She received the Lewis Hamilton True Grit Award at Genk for most places made during a race and was runner up in the TKVC Championship.  She also won the BWRDC Kart Championship.

In 2009, Louise was awarded the BWRDC Gold Star in the Elite Category.  2009 was also Louise’s first year racing in cars when she competed in the Ginetta Junior Championship, having won the Ginetta Junior Scholarship Drive.  In the second half of the season, she was regularly fighting for top 5 finishes and ended the year 9th overall in the championship.

In 2010, the Ginetta Scholarship Drive was extended to Louise for a further year so she continued in the Ginetta Junior Championship in the new G40, achieving 12 podiums, 4 pole positions and 2 wins and finishing the year as third overall in the Championship.
