Gemma started racing in 2006 and, after a short stint with scramble bikes, she moved into karting and has been karting ever since.

She started in the National Karting Association Association’s Junior Blue Championship, before moving on to Junior Rotax Max, achieving 3^rd overall by 2008.

In 2009, Gemma moved into Senior Rotax Max.  She has taken many podiums and fastest laps on the way and in 2011, Gemma became the Dunkeswell Kart Club Senior Rotax Champion and overall Senior Champion at Mansell Raceways. Her aim is to move on to single seater racing.
